The visual dramatisation of a small incident, disagreement or annoyance that becomes the catalyst for a chain of chaotic reactions can be a highly amusing spectacle and an effectively entertaining advertising theme.
1. NFL Super Bowl, The Hundred-Year Game

This cinematic Super Bowl teaser directed by Peter Berg, is an epic story that entertainingly stars 44 famous NFL players, past and present, and a surprise appearance of football athlete Samantha Gorden, known for her adroitness and speed.
2. Audi RS7, Duel
Advertising Agency: Venables Bell & Partners, San Francisco, USA.
Directed by Ringan Ledwidge, the commercial was produced to coincide with the 2016 telecast American presidential debates. Audi’s timing was perfect and audiences loved the topical theme of the story’s dramatic exaggeration that depicted the unfolding mayhem in reverse order.
3. Audi RS7, Duel (in forward play)
Advertising Agency: Venables Bell & Partners, San Francisco, USA
To the delight of many viewers Audi later decided to have some fun and released a second version of the commercial with the film sequences being played forward this time.
4. Oreo Cream Cookies, Whisper Fight
Advertising Agency: Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, USA
Directed by Tom Kuntz, the amusing commercial is about a fight in a library that started over an argument about the best part of an Oreo. The cookie or the cream?
But as raised voices are prohibited in a library, the fight of course becomes a ‘whisper fight’.
30,000 viewers, in a matter of a few hours, responded to the message at the end of the commercial; “Here’s something we can all disagree on. Choose your side on Instagram @Oreo”.
5. Nokia Lumina, Wedding Fight
Advertising Agency: T3 The Think Tank, Austin, Texas, USA
This entertaining commercial for Microsoft’s Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumina, was a directed by Roman Coppola.
The tongue-in-cheek parody mocks the rivalry between Apple’s iPhone users and Samsung Galaxy’s Android users.
The background music is Jacques Offenbach’s song, ‘Orphée aux Enfers’.
6. Axe Anarchy, Unleash The Chaos
Advertising Agency: BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), London, UK
Directed by Tom Kuntz the commercial features ‘Cant Help Falling in Love’ by Elvis Presley as the soundtrack.
The visual dramatisation of the increasing city mayhem that burning passion unleashes, makes for cinematic and highly entertaining viewing.
7. Audi Service, Frenzied Mayhem
Advertising Agency: Thjnk, Hamburg, Germany
Superbly directed by Sebastian Strasser, this cinematic commercial features a bunch of ‘wannabe’ mechanics keenly observing a passing Audi driver.
All hell breaks loose when they start chasing after the Audi and the ensuing mayhem that builds up to a dramatic and epic ending, is visually engaging to watch.
8. Audi Quattro Christmas, Approaching Chaos
Advertising Agency: Venables Bell & Partners, San Francisco, USA
Directed by Steve Rogers, this is a skillfully dramatised and humorously exaggerated story of two competing Audi Sport Drivers.
The Festive Season can be a chaotic time of year that severely tests the patience of many Dads. These two protagonists have particularly short fuses that seem to be on the verge of sparking off absolute mayhem in a shopping mall.
