Virgin Media O2 mass media and telecommunications company, based in Reading, England, was formed in 2021 with the merger of the United Kingdom’s main cable provider, Virgin Media, and O2, the united Kingdom’s largest customer based mobile network.
Advertising agency VCCP, an acronym for the surnames of founders, Charles Vallance, Rooney Carruthers, Adrian Coleman, and Ian Priest, has conceptualised and realised, some engagingly allegorical ‘better and beyond’ advertising commercials, of great brand affinity, that take an entertaining ‘walk on the wild side’.

VCCP London advertising agency’s 2025, Virgin Media O2 ‘Trunk Tractor’, is the fourth chapter of the ‘To Better and Beyond’ integrated campaign, that follows on from the highly successful and superbly produced, ‘Highland Rider’, ‘Goat Glider’ and ‘Walrus Whizzer’ film-scenarios.
Directed by filmmaker supreme, Andreas Nilsson, the ‘Trunk Trucker’ scenario, shifts Virgin Media O2’s focus from being a telecommunications broadband server, to a provider of world-class programming entertainment, that includes TNT Sports, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Disney+, and Netflix.

Filmed in Sweden and playing out to a soundtrack of “Suddenly”, the 1984 chart-topping hit by Trinidadian-born, British singer and songwriter Billy Ocean, VCCP advertising agency’s inspired 2024, ‘Walrus Whizzer’ film-scenario, epitomising the unstoppable feeling of using super smooth broadband, was brought to entertainingly spectacular life by renowned filmmaker and director Andreas Nilsson.

To a great soundtrack of English musician, singer, and songwriter, John Stephen Parr’s hit single, “Man In Motion” for the 1985 film St. Elmo’s Fire, VCCP advertising agency’s 2023, “Why stumble, when you can soar?” film-scenario, was brought to spectacular life by filmmaker, writer, and director Sam Brown, featuring ‘goat gliders’ in a superbly produced dramatisation of Virgin Media O2’s, “unstoppable” speeds consumer proposition.

Filmed in the Scottish Highlands, VCCP advertising agency’s 2022, Virgin Media “Why walk when you can ride?” commercial, directed by esteemed filmmaker Jeff Low, entertainingly features a Highland Cow on a motorcycle, with a ‘voiceover’ narration by celebrated Scottish actor, Peter Mullan.
The impressively produced escapade, filmically plays out to the 1987 song, “She’s Like the Wind”, by American actor and singer Patrick Swayze, from the soundtrack to the film ‘Dirty Dancing’.
